Assignment Description:
The objective of this assignment is to prepare a framework for the strengthening of the mineral tax administration capacity of Governments (Ministry of Mines and Ministry of Finance) in the West African region in order to improve the compliance of mineral payments with contractual obligations. The assignment will include some capacity building. The expected outputs will include: (i) a report mapping out physical and financial controls points of mineral revenue collection, including capacity and institutional constraints at each control point; (ii) How-to Guidance/practical tool-kit to enhance mineral revenue collection; (iii) workshops to validate and share the findings, iv) capacity building of selected staff from West African governments to design and implement policies regarding mineral tax administration and revenue collection.
